The Thom Foundation
About The Thom Foundation
The Thom Foundation is a foundation set up in memory of our son and brother Thom Bredenbeek.
Thom was born on 27 August 1994 and passed away on 19 December 2004. Thom was a wonderful child, social, loving and ready to help. We hope that with the Thom Foundation the name of Thom will live on and that many children in the world may receive help from this foundation.
Stefan Bredenbeek and Inge Obdeijn, Sophie en Eva.
Since 1999, we have been active in the field of development aid in Ghana. Together with various donors we support a maternity home in Logba. Several visits have been paid by us and at the moment the clinic is further supported by the foundation. See also Projects.
The Thom Foundation was set up on 27 August 2006 and is registered under the B.N. Act with the Chamber of Commerce.
In accordance with the rules and regulations, the Thom Foundation is domiciled at Lammert Majoorlaan 42, 1401 RP Bussum (The Netherlands).
The aims of the Thom Foundation are to support projects in developing countries. The help is primarily aimed at improving living conditions and the education of children.
In principle, we support only projects in developing countries that are on the so called Partner List of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (see also www.minbuza.nl/nl/ontwikkelingssamenwerking).
The Thom Foundation is a foundation that works exclusively with volunteers and thus has few expenses. This means that every euro you donate will actually land in the project.
